THE LODGE
The character of the lodge at Mt. Nicholas is an extension of the natural surroundings. Nestled in a secluded and private setting, the 80 year old lodge has
been adapted from the property's original homestead, offering all the comforts of home with almost every window providing a spectacular view.
The rolling lawns, large flagstone paved verandas and mature garden setting all add to the unique environment.
As a guest you will enjoy a friendly, family like atmosphere and be served the very best of local produce, much of which is grown (or raised) on the station
itself. The hearty breakfasts, gourmet lunches and traditional evening meals, as prepared by Adrienne in the large country style kitchen, will be sure to
satisfy every appetite. Her expert knowledge of New Zealand wines will ensure the dining experience is complete.
The Accommodation
The lodge has three separate bedrooms, one with an ensuite, two with separate bathroom facilities; the maximum number of guests at any time is five single
guests or three couples.
If complete privacy is required, a single party can be accommodated by special arrangement.
Breakfast and lunch, often informal, is served in the large family kitchen, while evening dining in the lounge, with its spectacular views and large roaring
fire, is intimate and relaxing.
Because Mt. Nicholas Station only caters to small numbers, you are guaranteed that your stay will be personalised to suit your individual requirements.
The People

Both Bruce and Adrienne have a passion for the outdoors and extensive experience in business and hospitality. Their combined skills and expertise will guarantee
your experience at Mt. Nicholas is of the highest quality, exceeding all expectations.
